Thought I would share some things that are attached to the paycheck you get from nannying!
1) The joy of being a kid again!!
2) The joys of picking up after them when they make a very dirty mess!
3) The joys of being beat up and not complaining about it.
4) And walking away from the beating with a smile so the mom does not worry about you:-|!
On Wednesday night I was saying goodbye to "my girls" and giving the baby a hug goodbye. While doing this my back was to Zoey (3 years old) who was (from what Joshua -my little brother- says) jumping off the couch to land on my back. She missed (thank the Lord) and landed on the floor behind me. As she stood to try again I leaned back and we SMACKED heads REALLY hard! I masked my pain as quickly as possible and turned to make sure Zoey was ok. She seemed fine and her mom seemed to think she was ok.
I said my last goodbyes (still masking my pain) and walked out the door. As soon as I sat down in my car with Joshua I landed my head in my hands and moaned in pain! It hurt, I was dizzy and I had a 40 minute drive home! I sent up a flair prayer that I would make it without crashing! Josh was good and kept talking to me and keeping me focused on the road and the cars around me! God got us home safely and I landed on the couch and closed my eyes praying it was not worse than it seemed!
My head still hurts, but it is not as bad as it was last night. I pray that my sleep tonight does some healing to my poor head!
A thought:Who is God? Have you ever looked up His names before? Today I read about Elohim (Our Creator). Isaiah 43 talks a lot about how He created us and desires us to live for His glory! Also Ephesians 1:3-4 talks about how He chose us before the foundation of the earth! What an awesome thought!
